This wine is exquisite elegance in the bottle. A great vintage and a sumptuous cabernet that is drinking well now and will evolve gracefully with time. Tremendous concentration and depth. Forward aromas of black cherry, black currant, and dark baker’s chocolate along with delightful hints of sweet cedar and subtle sweet clove. The generous flavors are big and plentiful, complimenting the velvety richness and balanced structure, giving way to a long, sexy finish.

A rush of fruit leaps right out of the glass. Aromas of pineapple, melons, apricots with just a hint of lemon grass. Bright and extremely alive upfront. Cantaloupe and white peaches are countered with balanced acidity. A crisp, slightly dry finish is complemented with notes of limestone. Unique and delicious. Pair this with grilled seafood, oysters, Lemon Chicken.

Straw yellow with green reflections, this Prosecco imparts lively scents of white flowers and golden apples. Good intensity, fresh, elegant, soft and pleasant. A natural sparkling wine, this Prosecco is a great match for any celebration or occasion. We love it for brunch. It is ideal as an aperitif or paired with a variety of appetizers, vegetarian main courses or seafood.
La Giaretta Amarone
Valpolicella
2018
$48
There’s a practical explanation as to why Amarone is one of Italy’s top red wines. The fruit destined to become Amarone is from older, more mature vines. Grapes are picked later to ensure ripeness, then are left all winter to dry into raisins. During the roughly 120 days that this occurs, the grapes will lose 30-40% of their weight. The result is intense concentration and a 15% or higher alcohol level. A whole lot more fruit (2x as many grapes) goes into a bottle of Amarone. Cooler weather begs for a big red, and this is it. Bold, muscular, huge mouth-feel with a velvety elegance. Light a fire. Enjoy.
